Some posts just write themselves, don’t they?..

Add to that knee slapper this beauty by Barack “Executive Privilege” Obama’s BFF accusing Mitt Romney of being “the most secretive candidate that we’ve seen, frankly, since Richard Nixon.”

Charles K had the best response— in which he also chides Romney, but that’s for another post:

“This is a glass house. He just had his Attorney General, for the first time in American history receive a rebuke from the Congress that we’ve never seen, criminal contempt for concealing documents in an operation that ended in the death of an American law enforcement official. So, I wouldn’t be talking about open government and transparency.”

So he should get 4 more years because he (cough, cough, cough) tried hard!?!?!?!? You have got to be kidding me!

You know what makes me really mad about O’bama? He has single-handedly managed to tarnish the word Hope. Think of it. Hope used to mean something… the word itself was special – with special meaning. Now everytime we hear it, in the back of our minds we’ll be thinking, ‘Yeah, hope, O’bama, & look what we got.’ Out of all the presidents in my lifetime and all their faults, errors, crimes, etc., this one thing really irks me more than anything else. It’s sad, really.

Made me think of this, that I just read: Obama Descends into Self-Parody:

“The mistake of my first term—couple of years,” the president allowed, “was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right.” At times, Obama confessed, he’d forgotten that “the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.” He needed to do “more explaining, but also inspiring.”

“Because hope is still there,” the first lady added.

There you have it. Contemplating the policy wreckage that surrounds him, the president has concluded that what this country needs is a fresh injection of presidential hope. Like “more cowbell” in the old Saturday Night Live skit, it’s the magic ingredient that makes everything better.
